IS PASSIVE SMOKE REALLY DANGEROUS? YES [7.22.1]
Read or Download Major Portions of the EPA's Report

Although the tobacco industry continues to insist that there is no evidence that "passive smoking" (the breathing of secondhand smoke) is dangerous, the evidence is absolutely overwhelming.

To present only some of it, ASH reprints below four sections from the EPA's major report on the risks of passive smoking. This includes an extensive bibliography.

Although far more evidence -- some of which is presented elsewhere on ASH's Web Site -- has accumulated since the release of the EPA's report, this report shows that the evidence was extensive even prior to the time smoking was finally banned on virtually all domestic US flights.
